It is with a heavy heart that I must share with you the news of the passing of Dr. Steven Montgomery. A legend in the Texas Swimming, Diving and Water Polo community and a presence that will sadly be missed. Dr. Montgomery was heavily involved with the TISCA Board of Directors, serving in many capacities over the years. He was also involved in establishing and promoting the Texas Swimming & Diving Hall of Fame where he served as Executive Director and was inducted in 2016, as well as with National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association, as a member of the coaching awards selection committee. His love, support and promotion of all aquatics sports made him a mainstay in our Texas Community. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his wife and family during this time. As we learn more about the service arrangements for Dr. Montgomery, we will pass them along.
