Clinic Survey - Final Vote Needed

Posted by Texas Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association on Oct 25 2022 at 01:27PM PDT

TISCA Members,

Thank you to those who completed the clinic survey. We have compiled the data and have narrowed down the future clinic times to two options.

Your input matters to the TISCA Board. We are here to serve the needs of the membership. The link is a final vote for when we want to offer the TISCA Swimming, Diving and Water Polo clinic.

We can either keep the traditional September month or move to April. Both options have positives and negatives and your opinion matters. Please take a moment to reflect on what you feel will best continue to serve our coaches in all our sports programs and levels.

Please keep in mind that if we move the clinic to April, we are looking at April of 2024 for us to meet again for a clinic. We will explore a spring(April) scheduling meeting in 2023 for polo to address the Water Polo scheduling for fall 2023 but not a full clinic this Spring. We want to ensure we will have strong attendance with either option. If we move the clinic to April will your campus admin let you attend so close to May testing?

For the future clinics, we appreciated the input we received about creating different tracks for Coaches (Rookies vs Experienced) to follow in the respective sports along with the topics/speakers you would like to hear from/about.

For those who offered to assist with the planning/organization of the clinic we will be reaching out soon as we move forward once a date has been selected.

If you want to engaged in any Clinic Dialog please feel free to use our FB social media site under TISCA General Membership to engage in any positive dialog.

Lastly, Water Polo Coaches, congratulations on a great inaugural season. I am looking forward to watching the finals this weekend in San Antonio and seeing which teams will make history and bring home the first UIL State Championship Team trophies.

Sincerely,
Mark Jedow
TISCA President
