For the sake of those that haven’t been camping out in front of their computer screens awaiting an announcement from U.I.L. concerning our State Meet. U.I.L. did just release the information that many of us have been anticipating. Since the University of Texas, as well as most all of the other state universities, are not allowing outside entities to use their facilities. The U.I.L. began reaching out to other quality locations throughout the state. The 2021 State Swimming & Diving Championship will be held at the Bill Walker Pool and Josh Davis Natatorium in San Antonio (North East ISD). These pools are located at 12002 Jones Maltsberger Road.

As you are making travel arrangements, I have attached a list of hotels that are located near
(within 8 miles) the facility that Mark Jedow has provided. As you make meal preparations, you
may want to also check the available restaurants COVID guidelines.

As the State Meet gets closer, UIL will release other information concerning Warm-up times,
COVID protocols, and spectator limitations. The dates of the meet will remain the same that
has been posted on the U.I.L. website since the beginning of the season. The schedule will be

T.I.S.C.A. is certainly very thankful for the diligence that U.I.L. has taken to make sure that our
athletes are being given the opportunity to continue their season. And we very much want to
thank Dr. Elza and Brandy Belk, as well as their staff for all of the work that they have done to
make this possible. Through all of their efforts, our athletes will continue to thrive as we
prepare them for their championships season.
